Assistant Principal
Linn Dunton
Linn has been in education for 24 years. She has a BA from Seattle Pacific University and a California teaching credential in Physical Education from San Diego State University. She also holds an ACSI Standard Certificate and a California Administrative Credential.
Prior to coming to Foothills, Linn taught Physical Education, Bible, and Health for eight years at Christian Junior/Senior High. She also served for a year as the interim Junior High Principal. Other experience includes fifteen years as a Driver’s Education teacher and two years as a teacher at Foothills Adult School.
Linn was an Assistant Track and Field coach at San Diego State University, Mt. Miguel High School and Christian High. She was a track and field competitor for 14 years culminating in an appearance at the Olympic Trials. This past summer she resumed her own training and competed in the Masters National Track and Field Meet. While taking a gold, silver and bronze in javelin, shot and discus she earned All American status.
Linn is married with 4 daughters. She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, gardening, and watching the seals at La Jolla Cove.
She is a 2 year cancer survivor and grateful for God’s sustaining power in the midst of storms.
